Learn to code

Remember when Joe Biden said this before becoming @potus?

During a rally yesterday, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden spoke to a crowd in Derry, N.H., a town that many miners call home. He acknowledged the economic setbacks and job insecurity that coal miners face these days, and gave them some advice: learn to code. According to Dave Weigel of the Washington Post, Biden said, “Anybody who can go down 3,000 feet in a mine can sure as hell learn to program as well… Anybody who can throw coal into a furnace can learn how to program, for God’s sake!” According to Weigel, the comment was met with silence from the audience. https://thehill.com/changing-america/enrichment/education/476391-biden-tells-coal-miners-to-learn-to-code

No?

Perhaps this will help!

I can understand why he feels that way.

After all, the people he will talk to will tell him they can’t find skilled employees.

The following White House announcement was made today:

Jennifer Abruzzo, General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board Nominee

Jennifer Abruzzo currently serves as Special Counsel for Strategic Initiatives for the Communications Workers of America (CWA). Prior to her work at CWA, Ms. Abruzzo was Acting General Counsel at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).

Ms. Abruzzo has spent almost twenty-three years working for the NLRB in various capacities, including as Field Attorney, Supervisory Field Attorney and Deputy Regional Attorney in the Miami, Florida office, as well as Deputy Assistant General Counsel in the Division of Operations-Management in Washington, DC, where she oversaw Regional operations in the Northeast and Midwest.

Yet he will not talk to people like myself that can code and can’t find work.

And he will not talk to any of these people that are very knowledgeable on why people like myself can’t find work.

Shouldn’t knowledgeable people like this that are fighting for the right of Americans in America to work as citizens of our great country be on this team?

There are many reasons why people like myself can’t find work in our field.

Reasons like:

  • Age Discrimination
  • Caste
  • Employers who refuse to recruit, consider, or hire qualified and available U.S. Workers like Facebook among others.

And lets not forget Attorneys who find ways to disqualify Americans in America.

As for the Communications Workers of America chairing this group, I have written to them to try and show what is happening, but they refuse to address it as it is easier to sweep it under the carpet.

I can understand why they don’t want to tackle what I showed them though.

After all, what can you do when somebody is showing you that our own government here in Texas is hiring non-immigrant guest workers from other countries instead of citizens who desperately need jobs.

As is our very own national government!

This is the message I told you about.

It pretty well sums up what is happening.
If you have any questions, ask me and I’ll be more than happy to answer them.
Thanks,
Virgil

I do not want to file an age discrimination case, but I don’t know what else to do as nobody will hire me, and TWC will not pay unemployment because I left a job at VA Hospital in Kerrville after being told that I would need to beg/ask for permission to go to the bathroom, 2 weeks before federal and state government shut down economy making it impossible to find work.

I am a highly skilled software developer.
As an example, I developed this site showing how people like myself are unable to find work because our government agencies like TWC are hiring non-immigrant guest workers instead of citizens like myself.
It is happening at all levels in our state and government agencies including the Department of Labor who is supposed to have our back.
We are having to seek sanctuary in our government agencies because our private industry employers are discriminating against Americans in America as I show in the following articles.
This leaves us with no alternative except to try and make a living as a housekeeping aid as I did with the Department of Veterans Affairs who also is hiring h-1b non-immigrant guest workers for their software positions.
Essentially we have nowhere to turn too.
Recognizing what was happening back in 2006, I obtained my real estate license and I have kept it current although it is inactive as I have no operating capital to work with and real estate is a commission only job as in no sales, no pay.
As you will see by the attached emails, I submitted my application for this position and I do have knowledge of real estate, many years of education after high school, and I do have a willingness to obtain my RPA certification, excellent computer skills, reliable transportation although I may lose that soon, and a valid texas driver license.
I do NOT have appraisal experience.

I will be 63 on the 27th of this month.
I really don’t want to do this but I see no alternative as I have a mortgage (currently in forbearance) and a pickup (will go 90 days past due on the 15th) and since private industry, our government agencies, and now our county agencies will not hire people like myself, I simply do not know what to do and I need help.
If you have an alternative, I am open to suggestions.
Respectfully,
